Highly diversed world, how do you define?

30 Mar

Beauty, how to you define if someone is pretty? It is a very subjective question. There is no exact definition or criteria defining if someone is beautiful. In different part of the world, the definition of beauty varies wildly! In Thailand, we judge it differently.

Some or I may say most people go by the look as what beauty contest usually looking for. A beauty contest, or beauty pageant, is a competition based mainly, though not always entirely, on the physical beauty of its contestants, and often incorporating personality, talent demonstration, and question responses as judged criteria. (Quoted from Wikipedia:)

Tracy Ip wins the title of “Miss Hong Kong 2005″ in Hong Kong Coliseum on August 20, 2005.

Thailand native tribes define beauty differently. Some with long neck, black colored teeth and so on. Some ham-sap people go by body figure. The bigger they (boobs) are, the more beautiful a woman is!

Hows things happen in other countries? In Brunei, you pay around RM 1 for every liter of RON97 fuel (We are paying RM 1.97 in Malaysia). You do not to pay a single cent to complete your early childhood study till you graduate in university. And you need to pay 1 dollar only for all kinds of medical treatment ranging from fever to any serious sickness you can think of! Every Brunei permanent citizen is given free land and house too.

Things are even better ini Dubai. If you are lucky enough to born in Dubai, you will given a piece of land and a million dollar to build your own house!

Vatican city, a small independent entity in central Italy, is only 0.44 square km in size. This smallest country in the world is influential of more than 10 billions people around the world. How cool is that?

Dream. Do you have dream? Kids from China as young as 4 years old have been undergoing intensive training to become a successful acrobat / art performer of tomorrow. They endure great pain and dare to dream big! A person without dream is someone without soul. Dream big!

Marriage

While we think that people can love and marry the one they love in this modern century, there are still, some people at the other part of the world that are bounded to arranged marriage by their parents. In part of India, some see widow as someone who will bring bad luck.

More to come…. more to come… I hope you enjoy what I’m writing here. This may be the first super-long blog entry I ever written and with most time spent on. :)
