It’s the first time I step my foot on the land of Hong Kong. Yay!
First impression, Hong Kong means serious business. Fast, efficient, high throughput are some keywords to represent this tiny region. It makes no wonder that Hong Kong can stand out of the crowd of those competing financial powerhouse in the global arena.
Let’s talk about buses, you will see at least a bus on the street at all time. Buses are one of the most powerful utility that connects one place to everywhere else in Hong Kong. It’s cheap, efficient, highly timely and carries you around safe and sound too. Next in the loop would be MTR system, undoubtedly useful as I use them every single day.
You can’t tell if someone that rides MTR and bus is poor because the rich use them a lot too, same like back in Penang when even the rich rides kap-chai to get around the town due to its small size to squeeze around places and avoiding traffic jam.
Without doubt, it’s a really tourist friendly destination. I find almost no problem navigating around with the help of the Tourism boards of Hong Kong, tons of helpful websites online and with the great tips from my friends. Even if you have prepared nothing and just fly into Hong Kong, just grab a map and ask around, you will still make a great trip visiting most top tourist attractions without much problem!
