One fine day, my drybox started blinking out of sudden. The humidity level kept hovering at no lower than 75. This could’ve been due to the power surge happened the night before.
I tried Google-ing around and there may be 2 possibilities.
First being, the electronics in the drybox has been damaged and the second being, the adapter has been damaged and is not supplying enough to the drybox to function as normal.
A quick check on the adapter used shows that it is rated at 5V 1A. However, when I called up to the distributor, he claimed that the new replacement is rated at 5V 2A instead.
The adapter can be obtained through all the dealers in Malaysia as well of course.
And fortunately, the drybox comes back alive after the change of adapter today.
PS: The 2 China-branded “cap ayam” temperature/humidity gauge I bought years ago both are showing funny reading. It’s always good to have second reference to the orignal reference to make sure the reading is correct!
