Title: Redang Kalong Resort Panorama

Size: 1.06MB

Description: It’s taken late in the morning when I was about to leave the Island. It is taken with a series of 8 consecutive pictures with around 40% over overlapping between each frame. This shot did not go too well as I was taking on a floating platform as you can see at the center of the picture. That’s the “jetty” of the resort.

I have actually taken a 360 degrees shot that time but two frames failed to join properly to the rest of the set so I settled for this result for the time being. Enjoy! :D

Oh ya, be patient, the full resolution size here is over 1MB, it may takes a little while to load it.

Whee… whee.. whee….

We stopped by Pizza Hut Kuala Terrengganu for lunch after getting off the paradise island Redang. We are very fortunated to be able to capture the precious clip of Mr Lasker Saw doing the “whee” action. If you want to know how it’s like. Just play the video and start whee-ing!

Taking the flight

Above: Its taken from 7 Eleven store overlooking to Kuala Terengganu bus station. We were waiting for our shuttle bus to get us to Merang jetty at that time. Merang jetty is about 60km away from the city center and from there, another 40minutes ride by speedboat is needed to get to Redang Island.

Technical note: Its taken using Canon 55-250mm at 250mm with IS on and image is cropped to about 20% of its original size. 250mm with 1.6 crop factor is definitely not enough to get close enough to the moon!

Below: Even at 1/4000 shutter speed, I don’t quite seem to be able to freeze the water droplets. Hmmmm… maybe I need IS on my Canon 10-22mm.

With the Canon 10-22mm’s focal length set at 10mm with focusing distance less than 7cm on someone’s face, the result is simply “mind-blowing”. Yes, I gonna say “ta-da~~~” enjoy some of the distorted view of the faces who went to Redang recently. :D

Unagi, Agogo Fish, Lala, Dolphin, Turtle, Squid, Abalone, Dugong and many many other sea creatures went to Redang for a 4D3N trip.
