Guide to 3G/Data on True Move H in Thailand

Why True Move H?

It’s very easily available in 7-11.

What’s the packages available?

There are 2 types. Recurring and ala-carte.

For foreign visitor like us, it’s always wise to subscribe to the ala-carte / one-time-off subscription. And in case you finishes the quota allocated before the time expires, you can subscribe to monthly packages (it’s ok to overlap monthly with ala-carte but you can’t overlap ala-carte with another ala-carte).

Just remember to call to cancel off the monthly subscription when you are leaving the country!

The Grand Palace, Bangkok, Thailand

Here’s some of the select photos that I got during my stop at the Grand Palace of Bangkok. It’s a very good place to start our visit to the kingdom apart from hitting the malls and shop till you drop!

If there is one must-see sight that no visit to Bangkok would be complete without, it’s the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace, undoubtedly the city’s most famous landmark.

Bangok here I… went!

The first time I went to the city of angels is when I was about 10 years old with my family. What’s still vivid in my memory is Wat Arun and the floating market but I’m not sure if the floating market that I went to more than 10 years ago is the same with the one I went to this time though.

The second time I went there is on last year’s October for BarCamp Bangkok 2010. The third time is on March, recently, and fortunately, it’s a vacation trip!

The Bangkok Grand Palace, countless number of malls and floating market are the highlights of the trip.

Packed with tourists. The sun is blinding bright. The temperature is soaring high in the (almost) cloudless sky and I’m at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
I feel like I’m in a miniature world where all sorts of landmarks of all kinds are placed beside each other.

Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand - 17 mm, f/7.1, 0.01 sec (1/100), EF17-40mm f/4L USM

A very distinctive mall with very nice design and atmosphere housing the Siam Ocean World and numerous super car showrooms. Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati are some of the names that you can find in there.

More coming soon!

Road trip to Hat Yai, Thailand

Driving on the street of Hat Yai

It has been slightly more than 10 years since I last visited Thailand.

It was really an eye opening experience being able to tag along Wendy and her friends to Hat Yai last month. And of course many thanks to Ah Sea for being our driver! Without her we would be literally blinded in the alien land up north.

It took us about 5 hours ride from Penang as we decided to go through the not-so-hectic Padang Besar (Perlis) check point rather than the usual Bukit Kayu Hitam (Kedah) entry point. Arriving there, we first checked in to the drive-in hotel and later on went out for lunch.

The name of the hotel is Leelawadee Resort (thanks to Wendy for remembering!) I can’t really recall what is the name of this hotel but and it’s reasonable cheap! It only costs us about 350 baths per night!
