To those who always hunt for nice food, Ipoh is no stranger for nice dimsum, taugeh Chicken rice and many more yummy food. I went to Ipoh last 2 weeks for a short 2 days. I was pampered with nice local foods all the time from Chemor at the north to Ipoh city to Menglembu in the south. On Sunday morning, I went to Foh San, one of the few big names in Ipoh dimsum arena.

How’s everything taste? It was different from my last visit 1 year back or so. During the last visit, there wasn’t much variety and the food tasted just so so. Proabably it was a weekday back then and they don’t serve some dishes during weekdays from what I was told. Things have improved much then now and I see more variety and improvement in food quality!

Asimo is in town today! In fact, he is here since yesterday! For those of you that don’t know what is Asimo, here’s some short details.

ASIMO (アシモ, ashimo^?) is a humanoid robot created by Honda Motor Company. Standing at 130 centimeters (4 feet 3 inches) and weighing 54 kilograms (119 pounds). The robot resembles a small astronaut wearing a backpack and can walk or run on two feet at speeds up to 6 km/h (4.3 mph).^[1] ASIMO was created at Honda’s Research & Development Wako Fundamental Technical Research Center in Japan. It is the current model in a line of eleven that began in 1986 with E0.

I finished in 2 hours vitally and didn’t get sent home using the pathetic sweeper bus. That’s the vital one! It’s really meng-siasui-kan for those get fetched back by bus. ahahaha.. here’s some shots taken using Canon 400D and Sigma 18-200mm.

I was using hardwired theme that comes along by default when I first installed Coppermine gallery for years till today. I find it dull and not too attractive compared to many other themes available online.

Then, at one bright sunny day when the warm sunshine is…… {lame crap}, so, while I was blog hopping around… I landed at photos.dwaynefoong.com. I got this link from Jing-leBelle’s blog.

I have then been thinking for daysss (1 night only lah actually) on how to make my template more attractive and better. So so so…… I was thinking with one objective in mind.

That is… to design a new template that will integrate with my current wordpress theme, Brightness.

I started to find an theme in my Coppermine gallery that resembles most with the wordpress theme. Theme reynolds has a sidebar and that’s one theme good to start with!

After 30 minutes or so, I managed to integrate the CSS file of both wordpress theme and the existing coppermine theme. Here’s how it look like now…

Then… 2 hours or so later trying this and that… things begins to take shape!

Chickenpox is a highly contagious illness caused by primary infection with varicella zoster virus (VZV). It generally begins with spots appearing in two or three waves, mainly on the body and head rather than the hands and becoming itchy raw pockmarks, small open sores which heal mostly without scarring.

Do you know that there is a vaccine for chickenpox? I just got the shot for the prevention of it few weeks back before visiting my dear Wendy.

Yes, you may say that I’m too coward to get chickenpox at my age now. Ehmmm, maybe I’m just buying myself an insurance for few years before I’m prone to infection again.

Come and think of it, It’s actually good to get infected as we will get (almost) lifelong immunity to the virus. Although there’s still few rare cases where people get infected again after they got infected already.

The shot I got few weeks back is called as Okavax. It’s developed by The Research Foundation for Microbial Diseases of Osaka University (BIKEN).

You can read more about Okavax vaccine in this pdf file. I wish to quote some text from the pdf file. It writes…

Clinical studies have established the safety and efficacy of this vaccine in both healthy persons and high risk patients.3)-23) Seroconversion rate is about 90% and the protection rate in household contacts is about 80% among leukemia children. Seroconvention rate in other recipients is more than 90% and about 10% of recipients are susceptible to chickenpox. The symptoms of the vaccine recipients after infected n0atural chickenpox are generally mild. In leukemia patients under maintenance therapy, it is recommended that immunity against chickenpox be monitored 1 to 3 months after vaccinations and periodically thereafter, and that the vaccine should be re-injected depending on the condition of the patient when decreases in the antibody titer are significant.

So, if I’m interpreting this correctly, there is still some risk of getting infected by chickenpox virus even after the vaccine shot. I think I saw somewhere in the web that we will be better protected if we take two shots of the vaccine. I’ll post it up the source if I come across it again!

I just got my XPS1330 downgraded from Vista to XP and the bluetooth is nowhere to be seen in the device manger. So I couldn’t detect them and use them.

Solution is….

you may want to try to enable Bluetooth in your BIOS or by turning the radio button on at the right side of your laptop

or….

try Dell’s BTW Radio On to “find” your bluetooth device back!

or….

If you have dual-boot to Vista and XP, try to boot into Vista to enable your bluetooth. Then, reboot into XP, your XP would be able to find your Bluetooth now.

After dunno-how-many years, I have re-visited Langkawi island under company’s team building trip last Friday. It was a 2 days 1 night trip inclusive of all the traveling required from/to Penang. I met up with my colleagues around 530am at McD Sungai Dua. Idiotic enough, we need to board the ferry from Kuala Perlis and not from Penang itself. Things got a little ’sui’ although not on me when one of the participants got into road accident when he was on his way driving to the assembly point, at the factory. He was fine though, from what I heard. Except the pity Kelisa.

Not getting enough of the bad incident, our bus broke down at the side of the highway just after it got out from the tol plaza near Sungai Dua. There, we have waited patiently inside the bus for around an hour. What happened? I was told by the driver that the one of the 8 bola (ball alike thingy I suppose that has something to do with hydraulic ) was not functioning therefore the suspension wasn’t working making our ride very bumpy when traveling at high speed.

After an hour or so, bus’s company sent a mechanic over and made some tuning/tweaking to the bus and magically it recovered almost in no time! Lucky enough! And we have made the ferry waited for us probably due to our large number, they were urged to wait. The air-con inside the ferry was awful. It’s merely good for ventilation and not cooling us down at all. Their seats are scrapped, damaged and broken. Awful!

45 minutes later, we made it, finally, to the land of eagles.

After so many years, its wings still spreading wide. But, how come it’s not flying yet, still?
