Langkawi Cable Car

Langkawi Cable Car and Curve Hanging Bridge

It was a fun experience walking on the panorama bridge the last time I went to Langkawi for a short 2 days holiday trip. Few years back when I went there, the bridge wasn’t there yet. Most of the time, I was a little scared of staying on the bridge platform when strong wind started to blow. The bridge did sway! A little scary but a good experience for me.

It’s simply magnificent on what human can do. Building a bridge suspended on a crane at over 700m from sea level on top of a mountain. Engineering marvel!

Surely cable car ride is a must-do on your trip to the island! (See review at tripadvisor)

Casablanca, Pulau Langkawi

Oh yea if you have not forgotten, I went to Langkawi on 31 Oct 2008 for my company’s team building trip. We stayed in Langkawi Beach Resort located somewhere at the west south part of the island. On that night, our brains are defeated by the hunger and maybe hypothesized by Cik Mahsuri. Because of some ridiculous reasons, we stormed into a random restaurant called Casablanca nearby (walking distance from the resort).

When we arrived there, we saw another table filled by another group of Motorolans. Without much thought and wanting to skip the hassle of ordering dishes, we decided to order what the that group has ordered. We are totally blinded and forgotten what the team building instructor has told us repetitively before ending the training session that day.

“WHATEVER YOU BUY, QUOTE FOR PRICE FIRST” “ASK BEFORE BUYING” “CHECK THE PRICE FIRST”

Food are good but seriously they don’t taste as good as they are priced! :|

Holy crab Flower crab. Each for RM 15.00 making total of RM 90.00 (100gm = RM 5.00)

What the fish! 2 fishes weighing 1.8kg for RM 108.00 (100gm = RM 6.00)

Boleh Mati Mantis Prawn 6pcs 1.8KG for RM 252.00 (100gm = RM 14.00)

So… we are paying RM 42.00 for each of them. For that length of prawn, we can cut each of them into some 5 small bite size segments. Each bite costs RM 8.40. That’s Grosssss!!

Bite your wallet like Tiger Prawn. 15pcs costs RM 434.00 making each of them RM 29.00. (100gm = RM 14.00)

and this is the bill for 15 people serving…

that’s equivalent of RM 70.00 for each person.

That’s an expensive dinner. Wherever you go, particular in tourist spots,

ask the price before buying!
